Therapy for Children/ Adolescents
Therapy for children and adolescents helps young people express their feelings and cope with challenges, often using play-based techniques and activities guided by a trained therapist.

What happens during my first session?
The first session focuses on getting to know you and understanding what lead you to therapy. Your counselor will review your intake documents, review practice documents, discuss your goals, gather background information, and answer any questions/ concerns you have.
For any child client, the first session is typically done with the parent/ caregiver. The counselor will review the parent/ caregiver’s concerns, gather background information for the child and family, review expectations of therapy, and provide an overview of how sessions will go for the child. The counselor will also share the expectations for the parent/caregiver while sharing how they will also be supported in services.
Cancelation/ No show Policy
We understand that things come up that can impact your ability to attend sessions. We ask that you attempt to give us a 12 hour notice for any cancelations. Fees for late notice (within the 12 hour windown) or no show can be applied. This will be explained by your counselor during your intake session and can be reviewed on your consent to treatment documents.
